COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) — Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home for Mrs. Ida Hacker, 78, of Covington Route 2, who died Wednesday (Aug. 14, 1974) at a hospital in Logansport, where she had been a patient for some time. The Rev. Jerry Kissinger will officiate, and burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at State Line. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Hacker was born Oct. 2, 1895, in Warren County, the daughter of John and Rachel Henderson Fields. She was married on Jan. 17, 1917, to Rufus Hacker, who died June 18, 1933. A life resident of Warren County, she was a member of the Benson Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Dolick of Lafayette, Mrs. Charles (Audrey) Moore of Wolcott and Mrs. James (Eleanor) Kerst of Williamsport; two sons, Hubert of Albuquerque, N. Mex. and Clifford of Attica; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.   --typed by Walt W

Covington - Ida Hacker, 78, died Wednesday morning in a hospital at Logansport. A native and life resident of Warren county, she was a member of Benson Chapel United Methodist Church. Born Oct. 2, 1895, she was a daughter of John and Rachel Henderson fields. She married Rufus Hacker on June 17, 1917. He died June 18, 1933. Survivors include two sons, Hubert of Albuquerque, N.M., and Clifford of Attica; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Dolick of Lafayette, Mrs. Charles (Audrey) Moore, and Mrs. James (Eleanor) Kerst of Williamsport; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Kissinger officiating.
